"The Weekender" is a cute and cozy effiency cottage just 10 minutes from the beautiful white, sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Located on the Bon Secour River (Bon Secour is French for Safe Harbour), you'll have access to dock your boat or just fish right from the boathouse. Maybe if you're lucky, you may see the dolphins  make their way up the river to feed.

 

Famous to the area, Billy's Seafood is located just five minutes away, where you can purchase shrimp, oysters, crabs, and more fresh off  the shrimp boats. You'll love cooking your own seafood in the well equipped kitchen complete with oak cabinetry and tiled floors.  Or perhaps you'd rather dine out in the area's best seafood restaurants. Lucy Buffet's famous LuLu's Homeport restaurant is only 5 miles away where you can dine while watching boats travel down the Intracoastal Canal and enjoy live music. Jimmy Buffet has been known to just show up unexpectedly in his sister's restaurant. Or you can always "shop 'til you drop" at the Tanger Outlet Mall which is conveniently located just 4 miles away.

 

"The Weekender"  has no private bedroom. It is set up as an efficiency with all open combined areas. It can sleep 4, but it is more suited for a couple or single. The cottage is tastefully decorated in a "beachy feeling" theme, giving extra attention to the comfy queen sized bed.   Our cottage is perfect for the person or couple that wants to get away for fishing, trips to the beach, and doesn't want the high prices of nearby beach accommodations. Our rates beat the local hotel prices and provide you with all the comforts of home....with a river view!
